Description

A rich and savory classic Italian lasagna layered with pasta, meat sauce, and cheese.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 12 lasagna noodles
  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 3 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions and set aside.
  3. In a skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add ground beef, salt, black pepper, and Italian seasoning. Cook until browned.

  5. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  6. Layer 3 lasagna noodles, half of the beef, half of the ricotta mixture, and a layer of mozzarella cheese.

Notes

For a vegetarian option, replace ground beef with sautéed vegetables.
