Description

A classic Italian dish made with garlic, olive oil, and pasta.


Ingredients

Scale
  • 400g spaghetti
  • 6 cloves garlic, thinly sliced
  • 100ml extra virgin olive oil
  • 1 teaspoon red pepper flakes
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Grated Parmesan cheese (optional)

Instructions

  1. Cook spaghetti in salted boiling water according to package instructions until al dente.
  2. In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat and sauté the sliced garlic until golden brown.
  3. Add red pepper flakes and cook for an additional 30 seconds.
  4. Drain the spaghetti, reserving some pasta water.
  5. Add the spaghetti to the skillet and toss with the garlic oil. If too dry, add a little reserved pasta water.
  6. Stir in chopped parsley and season with salt.
  7. Serve hot, topped with grated Parmesan cheese if desired.

Notes

For a flavorful twist, add lemon zest or a squeeze of lemon juice before serving.
